List of contemporary art deco styled stoves
Art Deco was the first style of the machine age it leant heavily on
its predecessor Art Nouveau. Defined by an art historian as:
"an assertively modern style...[that] ran to symmetry rather
than asymmetry, and to the rectilinear rather than the curvilinear; it
responded to the demands of the machine and of new material...[and]
the requirements of mass production"
Many antique stoves from the 1930s onwards are styled in an art
deco fashion but some modern manufactured stoves are also styled this
way
