Usage: To prevent rain ingress whilst still allowing solid fuel usage. Pros: Stops almost all rain, birds and rodents. Anti downdraft cowl (Mad cowl pictured)

Usage: Anti downdraft, prevents rain ingress. Pros: Cheap and effective anti downdraft cowl, helps stop rain ingress. Made of stainless steel and aluminium then powder coated in terracotta. H' shaped 6" (150mm) galvanised cowl

Rotating stainless (uplift) cowl

Available in terracotta and stainless steel (as pictured) finishes. Ordered as required.

Usage: Anti downdraft, prevents rain ingress and creates uplift. Pros: Effective at creating uplift, effective against downdraft and helps prevent rain ingress. Can be used with Dinak twin wall chimneys. Cons: It needs to be serviced regularly (every few years) to prevent fouling. On short chimneys the Dragon cowl is a better bet. Dragon stainless 6" (150mm) cowl

Usage: Anti downdraft rotates and places itself in the opposite direction to the wind no matter of its strength prevents rain ingress and creates uplift. Pros: Effective against downdraft and bird problems and prevents rain ingress. Can be used with Dinak twin wall chimneys. Can be swept in position unlike rotators and 'H' shaped cowls.
